Police have arrested a 53-year-old man in connection with a death on a Clydebank road early yesterday morning (Saturday, June 16).
A 30-year-old man was hit by a car after leaving a nightclub on Great Western Road. The incident happened on Milton Douglas Road in Hardgate around 3:45am.
Paramedics treated the victim at the scene but were unable to save him. He died shortly afterwards.
Strathclyde Police have confirmed officers arrested a man and he remains in custody. They said a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
The 53-year-old is expected to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court tomorrow (Monday, June 17).
